Local ‘copycat’ blog suspended
Some days are better than others. Today I woke up to find that the highly derogatory, rude, insulting & defamatory blog that has stalked, harassed and defamed me for the past few months, no longer exists.
The blog, which was a very poor imitation and foul-mouthed send up of Alpine Opinion, operated mainly by copying my posts and altering them into defamatory insults directed at me. However, if you go there today the only thing you’ll find is this announcement from WordPress, the blog’s host:
This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service.
I just hope the suspension is permanent. I have made several complaints to WordPress pointing out how the blog’s whole purpose was to defame and discredit my reputation (and those of a few others) by publishing insults and untruths about: my character, my behaviour, my business, my partner Leanne and even about my two puppies!
The blog owner actually went further than that and followed me to other sites to post more untruths, insults and libel. I believe it is actually criminal stalking and harassment for someone to do that. The fact that it operated anonymously with no contact details made it even worse.

Good riddance. That blog was a disgrace and like a loose cannon. It wasn’t needed and it won’t be missed – well done, Ray.
This is what happens when people run blogs hiding behind an alias and don’t reveal their identity. They get carried away with the freedom it seems to give them and they go too far.
This should of been done a long time ago! I wonder what part of the blog was a violation of terms of service? and why it was allowed to run for as long as it did? Surly it violated their terms of service in the earlier days and should of been canned back then.
Well, I think it has violated their terms for a long time too, Gillie, but it’s WordPress’s opinion that matters. However, what they posted late yesterday (a pretty vile assault on my character & reputation) obviously triggered the suspension. You just can’t say things like they did.
Yes, I saw what they had to say yesterday. It’s a shame you don’t know for sure who the idiots are, as you could have taken some action on yesterdays work. Glad WordPress took took them out for you.
